and I have prayed
the fathers intervene
to carve a crystal fountain
from the seas
healing hearts
and easing every memory
of loss –
taking back of hurts
we fell between
as tears aligned
with rumor –
sons by sons are grieved
a disillusioned truth
returned as stone
I will sit the night
every night
until the end becomes
a place to start
with pieces left
of home

for every time

negated now to loss
a rush of recollection
do you remember
how it was
a breath between
each memory
of us

tho chords
are hanging still
when the choir
folds together
with their silks
when hymns are dashed
as silence earned
banging on
our knees
sore and bruised
the busted
falling down
when truth
we swore would save us

we seek
as walls to spy
flame is all
we breathe
curses pulled
around us
pleas for something
more
to ease the ache
of missing –
to find
what we came for

light through

a stutter
of breath remembers

billions of years
save one

recalled every time
I was found
