beyondtime

what words
need understanding –
but a place to fall
one day
beyond the seeker seeking
our dismay
another time
forgotten us –
some meaning just beyond
the dreamer dreamed
and all that was
become

a summer night
a star just so
and planted black
as diamond
how many wishes
raised
before his fell
dust is left
to willing hands
pressed against the light
to trace the trail
of wishes
cross the night

. . .

whispered into sorrow ~

silencewing

lest I awaken
mourning dove above my head
whispered into sorrow
by his song
will all I have
a pittance make
compared unto his loss
a place alone
where silence beats the same

sworn to birth
some other time –
before the sky burned black
was here
the reasons scattered us apart
folded as a memory
into the great unknown –
while fortune sleeps
beside us
in the dark

. . .

others I have known ~

tangerine and wish

beyond
the colors
I can see –
others I have known
are come within the night
in search of me
for names
I may remember
for yellows swirling there
of paradise
a shade of ancient pearl
curved around
a tiger’s eye –
music from above
as stars
permit the dark
to feel
their love

. . .

destiny shared ~

gracesunderfire

this place
surely heaven
was fell from the dark
– a destiny shared
with luna
and lark

saved not by graces
or a night without dreams
of love growing silent –
remember

the lucid white weave
of present
to past
will never my first
be as sweet as the last

to lay me down
easy
beneath southern skies
where blackberry blooms
in December

. . .

outside the season ~

touchmehere

in the space
where reason rests
thistle guards the soul
as clover bursts
in lavender caress
wonder wills a morning song
of nightbirds to the wire
angels dare
to question
of sin so sweetly blessed

as scars endeared
by knowing
your kiss would taste
the same
where once before
vines were knotted ‘round
bloomed outside
the season
designated for release
prayer became a wing’ed sigh
as leaves were falling
down

. . .

no less than kings ~

lettersfromhome

Sailed I once
into your blue
and fell as ash somewhere –
washed with rock
along the canyon carved.
Homeward
(closer) to the sea
you carried (lifted) me.
Guarded I the seed
became your kingdom.
No more than one –
one tiny grain –
but there a garden grew
with trees so tall
they skirted heaven’s rafters.
Another home
was anchored there
with view to lands above –
No less than kings
love resolved to love.

Sailed I once into your blue
and fell as ash somewhere.

. . .

all of time I know ~

sweetlynow

shall I wait
or shall I slumber –
taking all
of time
I know
into worlds
beyond I wander –
into life
beyond I go

kept apart
and sewn together
by a moment
so divine
stitched of want –
as darkness gathered
to warm a heart
the same
as mine

who am I
what name is given
was a girl
a woman now –
was a place
beyond my knowing
come again
for me
somehow

pages bent
the years by passing
ribbon sky
to mark the way –
paths are worn together
waiting
– love we kept
to give away

. . .

wearing thru ~

sleepme

winter weave
your lullabye –
let the moon forget
the stone
that was my promise
buried deep
pressed into another rhyme
white
embroidered rose –
dreams remain
of lines I’m sworn
to keep

of graces
held the longer
yearn for me
the same
while quiet waits
our willing to reveal
a poem
we were writing
verse defending verse
strings we thought were broken
echo still

when pulled
into some other life
a moment
love endured –
softer where
the dawn is wearing thru
tempted by
the passing –
of yellow leaves to rain
– as certain as
my falling
into you

. . .

nights without a name ~

likehomethere
beyond the reach
of light
the reason
I was come
across a sea of stars
into your arms

remembering
some other life –
nights without a name
constellations
rose
from kindred
flame

from words
denied their sound
echoes
from the veil
– another place
where I shall
know you
well

. . .

faraway ~

lighternowanother time
when ashes fell
oceans blue
with splendor
left upon the shores
a wintergreen
messages
were never meant
this faraway to travel
promise rose
above
the smallest dream

graces come
and graces mine
within the still
of sorrow
are counted down
and back o’er ways
I came
further than
remembered me –
songs I used to wear
blossoms born
of longing –
sweeter
flame
