in the space
where reason rests
thistle guards the soul
as clover bursts
in lavender caress
wonder wills a morning song
of nightbirds to the wire
angels dare
to question
of sin so sweetly blessed
as scars endeared
by knowing
your kiss would taste
the same
where once before
vines were knotted ‘round
bloomed outside
the season
designated for release
prayer became a wing’ed sigh
as leaves were falling
down
. . .
Beautiful piece. Strangely, your poetry often mirriors what I am feeling at a particular point in time. Of course I mean my interpretation of it anyhow.

Dearest Felicia, I don’t find that strange at all…………… Most nights, I dream in colors I have no names for………people not yet found. Thank you, my friend. ~ Ever love, Bobbie
A wonderful one.
Thank you, my sweet precious Stephen. ~ Always, Bobbie
This is a very inviting piece with lot’s of inveigling phrases and pictures, sometimes even a little bit trespassing, I feel.
When it comes to word, the real worth is with the reader. I am but a place of passing through. Thank you, my dear friend. May your day be filled with unspoken meaning. ~ Love, Bobbie
😀
Love those 3 opening lines, Bobbie; the notion of reason resting in our being, and thistles guarding the soul… makes me ‘need’ to let go of my thinking and delve into my soul to read your poem. In fact, this is true of all of your poetry. You write it with your soul, so I have to read it with mine. So beautiful, my friend. xo
Thank you, Angela. Surely, the soul cradles the sweetest of verses, words we know only by the way they feel. Always, your kindness warms me. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
Your words have warmed and are stubborn to leave me…beautiful
Grazie for sharing!
Hugs, Bx
What a beautiful thing to say, my friend. You are much too kind, and I am so very grateful. ~ Much love, Bobbie
The first stanza was wonderful, Bobbie, but i got lost in the 2nd one and it took me a bit to find my way again. What can I say…, I’m just getting old(er). ~xo~

Getting lost isn’t a bad thing, I think……… Sometimes, even I must sit a while with words before I understand the reason they came. ~ Love to you always, Paul. ~ Bobbie

I love you, Cindy…………
Your words are always a sweet nourishment for the heart, spirit and mind, daily filling their needs each new day…beautifully written!
……as is the frienship of soul that you are to me, Wendell. May all your days be blessed by rainbows, even when skies are blue. ~ Love, Bobbie
