shall I wait
or shall I slumber –
taking all
of time
I know
into worlds
beyond I wander –
into life
beyond I go
kept apart
and sewn together
by a moment
so divine
stitched of want –
as darkness gathered
to warm a heart
the same
as mine
who am I
what name is given
was a girl
a woman now –
was a place
beyond my knowing
come again
for me
somehow
pages bent
the years by passing
ribbon sky
to mark the way –
paths are worn together
waiting
– love we kept
to give away
. . .
& because I’ve lost the count of years so that whatever was shared is given away, this piece is archived no where but through the folds of my spirit…
Sir Gibran says, “our pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses our understanding.”, but I’m still aching even after pain pains no more:'(
Love & Light
……..ah, but in the breaking, our heart is opened wide to love anew………..inspite, despite, because………….because………
Not if that heart is an oneness-lover:(
😦 I will hold your tiny tears in my little tiny heart………until they become rivers to carry us both home! I promise, Mira……..
This feels very different to your other work, but just as lovely. I like the meter… it has a singsong quality. Very beautiful.
James.
Thank you, my dearest James………… it’s good to have you here…….. ~ Love, Bobbie
Ah, tis herself, the master wordsmith, regalin’ us wi’ the wonders of her thoughts an’ words. Ah, Bobbie, darlin’, such beautiful stanzas posed in such metre and rhyme. Ye’ve bedeviled me heart again. But not that I liked a word o’ it…, not a word ! ~xo~
Himself
🙂
I am swept away by the perfect cadence and melodies found alive in each line of your exquisite song! Thanks for the smile you always share with us through your words Bobbie! You are truly gifted!
as I am swept away by your kindness, dear Wendell……………. From you, such praise is indeed a treasure……… ~ Love, Bobbie
