all I really know, always we begin, life, love, memory, moments, nature, time

was never yours
to carry
never mine to touch
the distance to forever
from a moment
neath the oaks –

a perfect afternoon
for falling

was not for me
to squander
your name upon my lips –
the taste
of sunday morning
on my tongue

was never meant
for whispers –
search the night for me
come before
the frost is
melt away

what we knew
was left for knowing
in every moment
we begin

. . .

my song ~

a hand to hold, a name upon my lips, always we begin, belonging to none, home, life, love the only truth, story

for moments
unaccounted –
a lifeline strung along
love awaited
past pretension
not to worry
at your wrongs –
your ways
a plea becoming
words I wait
the night to hear
touch I crave
this one and
only –
you were come
and love was here
in the cool
beneath my pillow
shadows
folded into dawn
moments
time became
illusion
when your touch
became
my song

a hand to hold, aligned, all I know, always we begin, awareness, been found, carry me home, closer to heaven than the stars, life, love, spirit

was never meant
to feign desire –
as years I put behind
of hands to fit
the same remorse as mine –
tis not so far
til I am found –
I’ve searched most all my days
for home I knew
awaited –
was more than just
a place

. . .

weight of words ~

always we begin, and still, belonging to none, grace, life, longing, love, poet, story, time, verse, writing

another sun
will I remember
the weight of words
beneath my bed –
empty pages
grieve the story
verses trapped inside
my head

passions rise
to ink stained fingers
memory met
with practiced hand –
seasons fill
my pen with longing
for life I’m want
to understand

truth is cleft
as will surrendered
stored to cold
my pillow waits –
another time
a chance for taking
as heart to hand
– this silence
aches

. . .

O, mary….

always we begin, birth, death, eternities, home, life, love, nature, seasons, time, unremembering

sweetly

for moments
still to wander
backwards into time
beyond the first
memory of sound
of love
within the quiet
a liquid lullaby
how swift
returns the coming back
to lie beneath
the pines
void of all
transgressions –
the ghost
of waiting cast
eternities
are held a breath apart
where once we fell
into this dream –
another falling
past
