I shall gather
to pages
these remnants of you
reminders now written
in rhyme
I shall paint
every moment
of days worn together –
warm cappucine
silver mine

sweet
my surrender
so often and still
when shadows are come
to do as they will
I will bind my heart
to words
we both know –
whispers carved deep
to my soul

loosen every season
on all we’re meant to find
– another life
beyond this sweet refrain
let me rest
against your heart
and wake within your dream
move my soul
to wonder
why we came

pacify my longing
share with me
your breath –
linger
lest your touch
become my own
wrap your love
around me –
whisper soft my fate
gather me to memories
of home

sometimes sweet
oft times bitter –
the taste of yesterdays
but true to love
the worth of either
has filled my troubled heart
with grace

there are no lines
nor rivers swiftly
suffered by the rain
no griefs have I without confessing
everything to gain

let me live
or let me gather
all tis mine or thought for once –
let me pass beyond this slumber
but leave to memory
the whole of us

yesterhere

wonder sits
in empty sinks
as proof of my surrender –
a cloudless blue
denies the call for rain
memory returning
of a day I knew you well –
wishes made
another to remain

solace bears
a single touch –
beyond the want for leaving
lines erased
by all we dared to dream
loving arms to wrap around
souvenirs for keeping –
blessings for the journey
stretched between

for all I am
this little known
as truth again becoming –
a way beyond
the circumstance of will
as want for nothing
time is left
with moments sweet
(remember)
hands –
almost forgotten
how they feel

there is a fault
aligned with love –
a crooked tear within the fold
what with eyes
the mind might wonder –
won’t be measured

a moment
resurrected
time and time again
a willingness so easy  –
the very best of all
the truth
o’er which we linger
despite everything we know –
held within a memory
of the fall

how many nights
far too many
beyond my need for sleep
drifting in and out
of slumber –
miles to go
with none to keep

songs are playing
I can hear them –
near enough to wake the soul
verses sweet
in recollection
move my weary heart
to fold

on this crazy dream
of mine
how many sunsets
unremembered

day begins at night

keep the burn ablaze
make for me a place –
I will come to home
and breathe
of all I know
in this
and each beginning –
each returning to reveal
of ways we thought
were learning us
alone
keep the fire
say my name
into each misty morn
write my soul
to cedar –
to pages of your own
keep my place
as love becomes
a memory of futures cast
real as dreams
we prayed aloud –
into the sweet
unknown
