OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

graces
oft enfold me
as silken wing
to flame
between the stars
where night
has gone –
with destinies
to claim

remembered
home –
as dreamed I cleft
the sinner
from the sin –
another me
unknowing pens
the place
we are again

fluttering
as truth to word
lines unfit
my soul to rhyme
ages
I have wandered here –
beyond
the reach
of time

. . .

homereturning

between
the place
where truth recalled –
fingers trace
forever
worlds beyond
the weary reach of fate
folds
and constellations
secrets
made to share
endearing me

a lifetime –
but a kiss

a sigh
the same as music
was calling me to home
warmth
I knew –
you’d change
the locks
one day
rusted rhyme
to silence me –
adapts a knowing smile
of pastures walked
in step with you
beside

a night before
eternities to miss

. . .

beyond words

I’m the daughter
of a son
a tender petition
an echo
where promise
once moved on the wind
a wave from the marrow
river of my heart
spoke
in the language
of soul

to your soul

a moment
returning
to one never lost –
how sweetly we feel
when cleared
from the past
remembered as whole
to places we’ve been
touched
without touching
eternally when
we were held
as a secret –
passed without word

from a light
just beginning
to burn

. . .

onceuponame

busy me
with breathing
broken vine
of write me down
strain
to tell (again)

these stories I’m become
(the memory)
of tears
shed to seed the
only morning after

where thunder –
silent strumming
tho none (but one) can hear
wings against this waking
remind my soul
(commit my heart)
to dream

night birds
just beyond the reach
of reaching (into day)
secrets
sworn to flannel
rest beneath my
willing

words
(where none
are needed)
beyond what love
can say

November2014

somewhere dreams
a pasture grows
in shades of green
and grass
paints a promise
rich of royal hues
somewhere
they are making plans
for someday
I’ll be home
a sky beyond
the memory of blue

somewhere still
my name is spoke
whene’er the night
grows calm
a hush above
the everyday release
of breathing in
and breathing out
somewhere
yet am I
a moment unforgotten ~
a whisper through
the trees

immortal

pages folded
spine to spine
your head upon my shoulder
where soft
the tangled spent
of words is kept
silent as my heart
reverbs…
to still the oldest current
of home to call us
deeper now
than bone

tears
a sweet assurance
of years beyond my own
ten thousand more
might dare I speak
and wonder
there your name
from creases
in becoming
where I was
before as now

pages drying
words –
a single sun

how far
til I’ve wandered
another one day
to wade in the snow
moments true
weary from missing
make me the way
was it here
that I waited
your once passing through
as easy as breathing
was mystery mine
roads leading back
to remember
this time

justasIknew

in the cool dense
where sunlight spreads
across my winter bed
words are left
to whispers on the night
memories
and all that was
before the same again
names so rarely spoken
– now a sigh

of once upon a spring
bouquet
we knew before we knew
as shadows cast
by honeysuckle vine
hands to fit
where heros lay –
promise feels the same
as one to love
held in place
divine

. . .

of yesterdays
when I was five –
older yet than most
with eyes
pretending
no one
dared to swim
oceans bare
a fleeting snare
waves and wings
remember
of paths
already knowing
us to find
get me home
some other way
a dream beyond
september
hands to reach
across
into my own

foreverstill

in this faraway moment
time is not erased
each grain of every wooden plank
calls out to and from centuries
of worship
the chipped paint
hymn to solitary prayer
over green fields
winds blow
with secrets common
to each faithful soul
forgotten
yet remembered each year
springtime cannot touch this sanctity
and winter dares not destroy its promise
summer has parched temple lips
leaving words fragile on autumn’s
altars of color
yet nothing
has dimmed such beauty
nor reasons
that made it live
