tethered by a promise
come again someday –
make of me
a star in all your dreams
say my name
or keep it
save each tender vowel
last year’s plans
have faded from us now
where we were
and what was meant
some other trust betrayed
a moment came –
eternity
has stayed
the changer with the changing
the dreamer
doesn’t dream –
for only this
the passing into light
burdened not by
stories –
or something
someone said
was life before
a ways – for this to find
measured not to hours
passed
when given love’s embrace
tempted not to taste
a breath divine

Love your words as always, Bobbie… please pardon me for the absence… I am engulfed in a huge project that entails numbers, for the betterment of lives on earth in some other way, but not in words, during these next few weeks or even months, but my heart will always be filled with the wonder of words and the wonder of life and of beauty and of poetry… and I will find the time to read, or write them down…somehow… Love, Dee
Always I will keep the light burning for you, Dee. My love to you for making the world so much better, and a pinch more for making mine better too. Thank you for the beautiful gift that is your heart. ~ Always love, Bobbie
{…sigh} another piece that speaks to the knowing and to trust in more. Time becomes insignificant – as does the material world …
there is so much to inhale in this one … beautiful as the stars that return each night to remind us that “Eternity has stayed…”
Love to you dear Bobbie x Robyn
Ahhhhhh, Robyn, you cut right to the core, don’t you? My favorite line from this piece – a reminder of the heaven which is here – glimpses of eternity shine undimmed by the aging stars. Always, you know…….as I, and we are blessed. ~ Love you, Bobbie
O Bobbie, you wouldn’t stop doing that, would you? With just a few minutes in my hands I visited you, as my soul has been thirsty to drink from your cup of poetry. And here you go… grab me by the hand and pin me down, making me forget the “rotating hands”…
“tethered by a promise
come again someday ” — simply the first two lines are enough…
Shall take a stroll with your kind permission.
xx
My dear beautiful friend, I don’t know that I could (even if I wanted to – which I don’t). And always, the path is made sweeter by your company. Thank you! ~ My love ever, Bobbie
Wow! The layers of the poem simply took me to a land of unknown bliss. Lovely words!
Your presence is reason enough to write, my friend. Thank you, Tanumoy. ~ Always, Bobbie
