a jealous moon, circle of life, gifts of grace, intimacy, love, mystery, nature, spirit, story, time, wandering, want

I will search
on fertile banks
where marigold is nestled
startled by the rivers
loyalty

I shall reach
for tiny crescents
buried by the sand –
in broken trusts
twisted with my hair
I will wait
as I have waited
for the time
to find you there

did I tell you once
of paths I roamed
unknowing
with a dream
suffered want unholy
to dream again –
I shall wait

as nights
beyond the wandering
in places
I have feared
in afternoons
where sunlight comes
to play

back into loving arms, carry me home, circle of life, desire, divine truth, love, nature, seasons, spirit

I’ve been warned
there is a dreamer
rests beneath my collar bone
spends the night
curled beneath me –
a fiery furnace made of stone
sometimes words can resurrect us
from all we loved
all we know –
of the joys recalled in living
hand to heart
soul to soul

in the leaves
I hear the ocean
silent strumming on the shore
as I walk the beach at sunrise
I feel the trees like ne’er before
one remains
and one remembers
where is home
and what I keep
of the blessings that surround me
broken seashells
velvet leaves

a time for telling, abundance, blessings, circle of life, closer to home, divine truth, family, love

As I was looking for something else today, I happened upon this photo….and the quote, “life isn’t a station to arrive at, but a means by which we travel” came to mind.

Though it surely seemed like many miles from granny and grampa’s house to the store, it wasn’t at all. Let us forever remember the little things as big….life as way more than we expected. The picture – little steve, sis, and hannah making the trek back to the store from granny’s…..remembering for me a path they never realized was so blessed. ❤

a place for us, a time for telling, all I know of living, blessings, circle of life, journey, life, love, quiet, searching, sweet

was I the one
was I the reason
once you crossed
a tempest sea –
tamed the storm
a sweet redemption
from the waters rise
conceived

silver blades
guard the river –
silent vespers
calm the waves
– wherever one
another searches
for the one
we’re come to save

the heart retains
a steady rhythm
cicadas on the glistening lawn –
endearing strum
of ages come to light
branches brushed
against another
starlings into blue
as breath
the winged soul
is given flight
