across the plains
which have no master –
tides rewritten
carve the sand
steps removed
my solace journey
lifetimes passed
to where I stand
kept aside
with places sacred
each divined
no less than these
rain is falling
now the river –
wanders far
with sweet release
echoes fall
as green to timber –
light to lacey
fingers glean
silence weighs
the reach of sorrow
broken bough of
nature’s dream
life returns
to guard the stillness
darkness pressed
beyond the shoals
seasons pass
as sands are shifted
sunlight bathes
the willing soul
. . .

Set to the proper music this would make a really great spiritual hymn. ~always~
Paul
Well, you should get out your fiddle then, Paul. Thank you so much, my dear dear friend. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
I felt the refreshing tenderness of your spirits love! I agree with Paul as I read it i was actually humming along with the melodies and rhythms found in every line…so beautifully written and shared and a lovely psalm of praise!
…….ahhhhh, what a beautiful thought……….to share a sweet hymn with the two of you. O how sweet it is to trust in Jesus……and how wonderful to know more of Him through you and Paul. ~ My love, Bobbie
