the seasons
unrelenting –
as chasing one another
winter blew
as ashes on July
last we spoke –
November
was a time I’ve come
to love –
holding still
the magic of our spring
waiting there
within the chill
of autumn to the harvest –
more than e’er
we knew to understand
bitter wheat
was turned again
to seed the fields of summer –
dreams we dreamed
awake us different
now
across
and thru
these sleepless nights
blankets drag
the ground –
revealed another truth
for why we came
wanting but for nothing
would see the past
undone –
the snow would melt
to flowers all
around
. . .

A few memories, a little loneliness, and the visions of a new beginning. All in all, I think it’s just about perfect. ~~xo~~

Thank you, Paul. “Missing” should never be confused with loneliness. We grieve for a part of us missing, but a heart of love is never lonely, for even alone is wonderful company. 🙂 Thank you so….. ~ Ever love, Me
I never thought of the snow melting into flowers… what beautiful imagery!
Dearest James, it does my heart wonders to find you here……. Thank you for this gift – for you. ~ Love you, Me
Your words are always so moving and tender to the ears…you capture life’s realities in all that you share…making your poem more meaningful to those who once tasted of similar moments. awesome poem!
Thank you, Wendell. If there’s one thing I aspire to in my writing, it is that I touch on those things that everyone feels, but not so many have the words. Thank you, my friend. ~ Ever, Bobbie
