beyond the reach
of wisdom –
longing makes a plan
and scratches there
our name
in blocks of time
given more
than giving back
letting go
to let
choice before the choosing
comes again
beneath the want
of wandering –
are dreams we know by heart
echoes of a once
familiar song –
played on silken chords
ringing without sound –
when wished upon a moon
we couldn’t see
before and since
of all we are –
reversing now the tides
are tears –
we thought were washing
us away
come the sigh
we breathed into –
matching with our own
blessings pass
unnoticed
to our light
. . .
A rare beauty in words Bobbie! the wish to reach higher, wiating under the norms of life, carving our name there, struggle sof time, broken dreams, reversing tides, and in everything we forget the light in disguise.
……I love the way you put it, Soumyav – ‘the light in disguise’. Always, it enfolds us. Always, we become. Thank you, dear girl. ~ Love, Bobbie
This is so beautiful dear Bobbie. It makes me think about trusting in universal love and truths … knowing that there are cycles of life – throughout time …something much larger than ourselves — protecting us … holding us … guiding us…
“dreams we know by heart
echoes of a once
familiar song –
played on silken chords
ringing without sound –
when wished upon a moon
we couldn’t see”
Thank you for sharing such Divine words always ~ each one a treasure!
x Robyn, with Love
Thank you, Robyn. I worried with tht line, ‘a moon we couldn’t see’. I wasn’t sure it would be understood. As I get older, I am more aware of the passing of time. Perhaps I am less resistant, and more in love with the movement of one into another. Either way, I am blessed that you know. Thank you. ~ My love always, Bobbie
as a musician I can really appreciate the silken chords ringing without sound, thankyou for this
Your comment reminds me of the hearing tests they used to give us in school – the various chords – some beyond our ability to hear or maybe just beyond our ability to perceive. There is much of life that is that way – a universe awaiting our ability to comprehend. Thank you so much, Nathan. ~ Much love, Bobbie
anytime Bobbie, so much to understand and comprehend, but with our artistry, you with words and me with sound, i think we’ll do ok. Take care – Nathan
So beautiful!
Thank you, my precious Deana. I am delighted you are here. Your words always bless me. ~ Ever love, Bobbie
Your poem is very enchanting, it captures the magic of stars, heaven, and the priceless value of life and our human emotion. . Your words charm as they enter one’s mind to feel and embrace their captivating beauties…a beautiful and charming song of love whose oneness reminds me of sitting below a tree much like the image and daydreaming, and relishing what might come one day! Masterful poem!
