of pictures in my wallet
some are older than my sins
and graces come
whenever I am here –
I’m there again
swept up in my passions
alive in yesterdays –
and lying in the room
reserved for dreams
I sail away
it’s the wonder of temptation
the lure of letting go –
and late nights
when the kitchen’s warm
I swim in world’s below
my feet against the hardwood
my spine against the wall –
someone speaks in riddles
echoes ringing
from the fall
reminds me of another
and times I couldn’t stay –
met me as was coming back
o’er reasons unbetrayed
by silverware and secrets
where winds uncertain blew
across and back
my recollect –
of things I never knew
. . .
Like the rhythm and the rhyme, the message that the poet brings, her mystery has settled into, those unspoken things, her heart forever wondering, at the way she lives, her pen and ink will offer us, the feelings that she gives ….
Happy Thanksgiving -gfs
As much as we lean on them, words rarely do justice to moments. Sometimes they just get in the way. The things we feel the deepest ~ like the rush of the first wave off an ice cold sea or a single solitary breath. Well, those are more than could ever be confined to verse; they are patterns in the wood of our being, places where our blood flows backward. If you ask me, not that anyone would, the only words worth saying are “I love”. Thank you, Peter, and have a blessed and gracious Thanksgiving. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
nice 🙂
Oh, thank you, my friend……….. Thank you so much. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
More than just words or images here…, emotions run between the lines like ocean waves at an incoming tide. Limitations prevent saying more.
xo, and Happy Thanksgiving, darlin’ girl.

There is an eternal essence that gives a lasting life to words, for they have an ability once received to bring back with them precious moments to tantilize our heart. Whether seeing a flower bloom, or watching clouds dancing across the sky, whether sitting along beneath a tree, or simply with one good cry, a song, a piece of wood, a a certain drink, a certain smell…its a spiritual thing you know for it always goes on forever…once we receive the words like “i love you”, or “I need you”, or “I want you” or “I thank you” or “You always make my day, or “God bless you”, for God blessed us first, all of the above words, and many more like them i have spoken and wrote to God, because He blessed me with a love that i in turn can bless another with, whether family, friend, spouse regardless of gender…for when one embraces a word from another, love sparks the spiritual essence that God allows to stay…so that is why it is so meaningful to say them! The words of friends who only know us/me by what is reflected in our/my words are vauled treasures because they really see the reflection of everyone’s/ my heart and soul! You really make a new day sing joyfully with what your words always contain…a reflection of you! Happy Thanksgiving and know that you are loved and a true blessing to many Bobbie!
🙂 you warm my heart with your understanding of life, and love, and the truest value to both. Thank you, my dearest Wendell. May love fill your house and heart this beautiful Thanksgiving Day. ~ Always, Bobbie
