will ever this
the cold reveal –
a plan
for early spring
buds are sleeping
safely
by the gate
dreams have been
forsaken
to seasons
come and gone –
morning swears
allegiances
to fate
to years behind
steps unknown –
for all I have another
remembered now
in silent lullabies
as echoes falling
tender –
curses none can hear
timbers weep
with every sweet
goodbye
. . .
I’d love to plan for an early spring, Bobbie, but I don’t feel that’s going to happen. Like the line in an old song, I think “Spring will be a little late this year”. Stay safe and stay warm…xo

Before we can decide how many days are left, it will be here…..and before we can get our sandals warm, it will be Autumn……….. Always, the world spins……..and we wonder where then went the time. But o, what a sweet spinning! ~ Love, Bobbie

“Morning swears allegiances to fate” —- the seasons march on like martinets, the order and the patterns of nature and of life. But then perchance, we, as beings of free will, can we somehow bend the winds of fate in momentary seconds, before relinquishing again to the flow of things towards every sweet goodbye? Or would we be wiser to live and love, in awe and wonder at the gift of time given to us? These are the thoughts that went through my heart as I read these lovely words, Bobbie. Love, Dee
The seasons pass, but always, their echoes fall into memory of our beating. That I know, dearest Dee. ~ Always, you fill my heart with thanks for the light that is you. ~ Bobbie
