warmth
is gathered
by my door –
tho white
the morning lawn
love is seeking arms
and I respond
as witness to
an ancient truth
fingerprints of grace
lace is strung
from pines –
but not for long
before the sun
discovers us
remembers me again
a child at once
recalled
to love I am
silent
as the first to fall
effortless to mourn
swirling feathers
softly
melting
down
. . .

I love Winter mornings…
though I miss enough snow to make snow angels….
we don’t have enough snow for that….but I can still wish for that White Christmas
Beautiful as you are Bobbie…!
Take Care….. You Matter…….

just me
🙂 I love winter mornings as well……… My weekends are made extra special when I can sit on the porch in my gown and gloves, hands around a cup of coffee, watching words disappear in the chilly air……….. Love is winter, I think. Love to you always, Maryrose. ~ Bobbie
that was my morning this morning….and yesterday..and the day before…( I have decided I need a flannel gown not cotton LOLs)
as I love you too Bobbie…

I saw some delightful jammies a couple of weeks ago. I was immediately taken in by the green grinch on black design, but then I realized the pants also had feet. So adorable. But then I realized that even when it’s below freezing, my feet need freedom. 🙂 Yes, treat yourself my friend. You deserve it. ~ B
As it drifts down from the ridges
Some flakes, some diamond fine
It blankets white the rooftop
Of this little house of mine…
…Loved your imagery in this, Bobbie. Real brushstrokes with words. ~xo~ Paul
….and you made it through that entire moment without a thought to how cold it was or how many days until you see the sand…… 🙂 I’m convinced that the truth of love is in the moments we take to fill our soul with gratitude – for the stillness, the remembrance and the journey (always takes us home). ~ May your days be warmed with sunlight, and your nights, warmer still. ~ Bobbie
What a perfect poem on a day covered in white. We just had 6-8 inches out this way. Namaste, mary
O, my beautiful Mary……..what a magical gift. I love the snow, the tracing of words through the air. What a blessing to know life – to know light – to know love. Thank you, my friend. ~ Love always, Bobbie
Your words are as much soothing as they are tenderly captivating…the image you paint make the snowfall ten times as beautiful with your wonderful descriptive words. Love the spirit alive in your words…always embracing! Hugs, love, and blessings to you always dear Bobbie!
Thank you, Wendell. Every Winter, I am reminded of the depths of love that went into our being – the heart so full it would adorn us with both blossom and snow. Ahhhhh, what a blessing to welcome each divine season. ~ May your day be filled with wonder, brother. ~ Always, my love ~ Bobbie
Dear Bobbie, I especially love the words — “love is seeking arms and I respond”. Depths of beauty are fathomed by the words of this poem. Love, Dee
Thank you, my sweet amazing Dee. ~ Love, Bobbie
