a place
beyond the golden shade
where once
my love was come
sprouted every april
with the sun
garnered me
a letting go
I never could be sure
of memories
left somewhere
I don’t know
while dreaming there
with all the rest
names I dare not say
are folded
soft to verses –
heaven tucked away
in cedar shifts
with last year’s plans
someone else
I knew
would find this way
so different
for our passing
through
fated by the willing
of one
this heart to hold
a rhyme
for every reason
I’ve become
eternities are wasted
in the waning now
for more –
than this
of us
a memory of home
. . .

Paul I have to agree with you! As i read the words of our dear poet, I was blown away, for the rhythm of the touch of her words just takes breath away, in such an enchanting way, that delights the soul! Few things move us as thoughts of home. Love reminds us of the home we carry with us, always a fire burns bright on the hearth. I love you, dearest Jane. May your day be exquisite! ~ Always, Bobbie
