I have wandered –
as a student to the light
remembered how it was
I came to be
a part of all creation –
what destiny have I
as sister to the myrtle
lark and leaf
how green the river
blood must flow –
to claim my heart anew
where mysteries of blossom
yet prevail
o’er bill and bark –
a briar bent
to wrap around me so –
tied with words
and not a one
to tell
cooler now
the summer path
awaiting for my feet –
a gentle breeze
made softer by my own
voice to greet
the mourning dove –
nightbirds sail beyond
as dreams are washed
into this sweet unknown
. . .

*sigh* this is just beautiful.
‘a gentle breeze
made softer by my own
voice to greet
the mourning dove’ — loved these lines especially.
Thank you, Yelana…….. I am graced that you think so……. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
