were for choices
I to blame
and lengths forgot to go
history repeating
in everything I know
could this be all
would hope hold fast
when every faith is failed
what light shall reach
the sailor lost
to shine within the gale
tis all we have
this one – this more
this ache of circumstance
believers come
and sinners lose their way
faltered in surrender
of one the other held –
drifting past the darkness
into the grey
led us to temptation
gave away our best –
held to proof
these mysteries of grace
souls to save
and there our truth
regarded as our worth
to love as we are loved
without regard
to place
. . .
