as one became
with longing –
and leaned into the light
was come before the dawn
to know me here
wrapped in quilts
of yestermore –
dreaming somewhere still
pressed against
the memory of a sigh
come to song
in silence sweet –
notes along the road
crest beneath
the sleeping blossoms there
sparkle as a moment once
reached beyond
the stars –
to gather our
reflection to the sun
here –
tho I can’t tell you why
or where the moon
is hiding –
a story yet untold
by tangled sheets
leave the realms of darkness
journey now to dream –
I’ll leave the window open
lest you stay
. . .

This is truly beautiful, one of my favorites. I’ll look for that open window.

Fluff and down floating on the breeze
Giving emotions a bit of a tease.
