sometimes
and then you notice
the first of april stir –
reminders of another
once we were
as close this one
as far
too wide –
the ways between
unpracticed
as another petal drifted
another seed
to sow
when whispers fell
(I love you)
I wondered
did you hear –
above the silent roar
of cricket’s cry
were needles busy stitching
pieces never left
– made for us
a blanket
of the snow
questions spin
the early night –
where reason
falls apart
memories are faded
into light
lilacs brush the shutters
breezes blow us back
love remains
within the sounds –
carried by the soul
. . .

“love remains
within the sounds –
carried by the soul”
As it is and always should be. These lines carry the whole poem, Bobbie. ~xo~

Such a sweet serenade of love that stirs the emotions making them blend perfectly, so one might see the deep longing within the words that speak forth their honest and genuine truth! Once embraced one falls quickly, finding their descent was already predestined to be, finding such adoring words which hit their mark leaving them to dream of the enchanting love that greets them with a spiritual kiss, making them a willing slave to the essence which brightly shines in the early morning dark! Your poems always find a place to rest within our hearts and minds! So very soothing and beautifully shared! I admire always the life spirit of your words! God bless!
