I’ll call you
in the morning
when there’s all day to forget
the ease with which
my words are lost again
– the almost
didn’t say it
of another time I knew
yet spoke so soft
my secrets bruised
your skin
I’ll call you when
the sun is turned
warm against my face –
forsaken every chance
to move along
discovering
the only path
– tho how
I’m meant to wonder
with nothing sure –
sleep can’t hold me long
I’ll call you over coffee
and do my best
to breathe
. . .

this was so very beautiful. i felt every word
so did I……….. 😉 Thank you, dear friend. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
Oh wow ~ another wonderful poem Bobbie. Yes – so much to feel here – and liked the ‘first person’ voice ~ feels very real time… xo much love ~ Robyn
Thank you, Robyn……… I think we’ve all had those moments where the only sound louder than silence is our heart beating up through our ears……….. 🙂 Glad you like it. ~ Much love to you, Bobbie
the last line echoes Bobbie! its fantastic!
Thank you, Soumyav. The last lines were the first……… I recall those times when I’ve called someone and the minute I hear a voice, I forget to speak. They are wonderful times, and I’m fairly certain everyone has known them in some way. 🙂 ~ Love you, Bobbie
Really powerful.
Thank you, beautiful friend. You are too sweet, Deana. Thank you for simply being you! ~ Love, Bobbie

Such a beautiful invite, one can almost smell the sweet aroma of the coffee, and to be chosen over that…such an exquisite way to capture a sweet moment in words. Your pen shines brightly today! I really love the poem….God bless!
Thank you, Wendell……… No wonder you can smell coffee in the words. I’m hardly ever without a cup in my hands….. 🙂 Thank you always for the gift of your kindness and your friendship. ~ Much love, Bobbie
