came the wind
to steal your whisper
sweetest light against my soul
soft as pine
to needles nesting –
something
worth the wait
to know
passed the morning
without warning –
begged the darkness
fall away –
held beside the fate
of leaving –
curs’ed words
we couldn’t say
twilight sworn
to grieve our sleeping –
warns the night of love
renewed
hours into hours
slipping –
lifetimes here
we never knew
bent for choosing
free for losing –
time and space as one
shall be
last time here –
I scarce remember
where it was you came
for me
. . .
What an awesome piece. I loved it.

Thank you, Felicia. I think I struggled more with the image than the words and everytime I found a different image, the meaning seemed to change……. I’m so glad I found the right one. Thank you. ~ Love, Bobbie

Sometimes the words just blend together into this perfect voice, even without music the song of the heart rises up through these words … If read as deeply as the author intended the summation of the last stanza can bring tears … extraordinary writing …
Thank you, Peter. Always, the worth of word lies within the heart of the reader. Few things leave a deeper mark than a truth that finds way to the reader’s heart. Images, the echo of words we think we have left behind, stay with us throughout our lives and sculpt a place in our memory. Through words, we return. We return to the voice that sounded so much like our own. Thank you again. ~ Much love, Bobbie
Your poem dances passionately from beginning to end so effortlessly! The deepness of your heart is never lost, for it always finds its mark…the weight of your feelings is never heavy but light and bright in texture, for like the butterfly in your image, your words always search hearts for the one who loves you most. Such a timless air about this poem where steps were rewalked within one spirits to find that place of pure peace and solitude that always sets you free leaving a smile on your face…beautifully written and so lovingly shared!
