how fragile now ~
this fleeting bliss
was passed
as once before
a kiss
as whispers gifted
words so clear ~
are ringing now
for all to hear
the glory come
from sweet amen ~
forgiveness undeserved
til then
when longing stays
the whole night through
will none forget
the things
you knew
for none can ease
the ache of gone ~
or pay for all
each righteous wrong
would e’er for love
a tear be spared
or moon concede ~
the night to share
don’t worry this
for moments passed ~
as smoke against
a looking glass
as stars made two
upon the sea ~
asleep in nets
of destiny
e’er page confess
this mortal song ~
shall wait my love
but not for long
Every time I read this it brings different thoughts and feelings to the surface, like the effervescence of oil on water. Maybe it’s just the mysterious “Tornado Day” mystique…???
xo ~always~
Paul
Well, I am hopeful that’s a sign of words that move us ~ that each time we read them, we find something more ~ like the layers of life ~ of mystery ~ of truth. Thank you, dear Paul. ~ Much love, Bobbie
how fragile…….
……..fleeting……..
how vital…….
how alive…………
it is all within
a kiss
a moment ~ eternity
very beautiful
Thank you, Linda. ~ Love, Bobbie
as I scrolled through the words, I got to the bottom and went slowly back upwards…
it made me think even in poems, endings are a different beginning if you look from below to above…
I really like this one Bobbie…especially the way it felt going slowly back up….
Take Care..

just me
Maryrose, you remind me of a friend of mine, who once took a collection of poems I had written and took the last line from each poem in order and created something else ~ something quite surprising but nonetheless, beautiful. You’ve given me a new view, and I am blessed. Love you, Bobbie
In truth, I am so very tempted to reblog with it reversed……… I love it! Thank you.
This is beautiful, Bobbie, and I agree with Maryrose, the poem can be read, reversed! And this reminds me of the genius of Mozart’s compositions, that they sound as musical and logical reversed, as from the original form!
Thank you, Dee. Maybe that is the mystery of poetry and music, that they can be realized in thousands of different ways, and intepretation is always in the eyes (and heart) of the receiver. You’re so kind to stop by, and whenever you do, I am blessed. ~ Much love always, Bobbie
The softness of your words touched my spirit! I was moved within my mind in many directions all good. I read it a few times and it only made me enjoy it even more! This is one of those poems where all things are right and it will be remembered by some. It is a timeless masterpiece…so really good! Thanks for inspiring evening tonight!
Thank you, Wendell, for finding your way to these words ~ and to the thought that brought them into being so that you would find them. ~ Love, Bobbie
