are promises falling
the way of our tears –
was faith to remind us
of each passing year
as the paint on the ceiling
the rust on the well –
and long nights spent wishing
another to tell
of the ache in the morning
of lives barely lived –
love never meant us
this much to forgive
something more than the ringing
of stones to the tide
are ripples to roll
o’er the face
of the moon
leaning
as learning
of distance too soon
as the sound of forever
finds a way
to be heard –
as a breath unsurrendered
is willed into word
I can’t be the reason
to stay –
I won’t stay
where the fields are all empty
and dreams died away
tell me now quickly
where o where
will you go
will the wind wrap around you
with songs of your soul
when your purpose
needs tending
by the brush of a kiss
and want left unspoken
breaks your heart –
stains your lips
tell me sweet darling
are there plans we could make
while we lie in the dark
and dare not awake
our truth from becoming
the real from the rest
a somewhere forgotten –
a life unconfessed
I should never have held you
for more than a night –
such a small price to pay
for a lifetime of light
o darling
the ringing –
the sweetest of sounds
does it play where you’re sleeping
in moments unbound
“I can’t be the reason to stay
where the fields are all empty
and dreams died away”
The Precious still travels 300000 km per second even when The Clock hanging on Ages’ wall sends its uncontrollable beats to exile……
Shine; a holder of Light isn’t destined to dwell in the nowhere between ticks failed traveling an extra mile……
Love & Light
Mira, what a lovely way to say it. You are so very right and so very wise! Love you, Bobbie
What words could I say to critique something as beautiful as this ?
“day old coffee” and room on the bench…

Two of my very favorite things, dear Paul. Thank you so much for keeping my spot. ~ Love you, Bobbie
Wow. This is hauntingly, lyrically beautiful….I just Love it, Linda..love it.
Dearest Linda, I am always blown away by your kind graces. Thank you for always returning to me with love. Truly, I am blessed by your presence. ~ Love, Bobbie
My mind wanders in and out of your words,…such beauty and sadness rolled into one along with expectations unfilled yet a hope for change. I feel you as you walk around the hallways in your mind, trying to reclaim the happiness of your heart…I feel really feel you. Its sad to be alone when you are not alone. And yet you share the feelings unmasked in poems. We all love the way you write…we embrace your words, but we also embrace you as the wonderful person that you are. Yet I see a happiness that stays with you each day…it is giving new life to the empty parts. May you be blessed with a greater abundance of love to fill Your heart. Much love to you Bobbie!
Thank you, dear Wendell. I suspect the same thing that makes me have compassion is the same thing that allows me to put into words what so many struggle with. I refuse to feel something halfway, and I think that carries over to my writing. That’s kinda what I think it is, but regardless, I’m glad it touches you. ~ Love, Bobbie
