I know
you’d never know it
by the way
you hold your gin
but there are lines
around your eyes
I can’t resist
there’s a far away
(I wonder) do you know it
even now
there’s a place you go
where nothing much exists
yet I remain
as was before
and wait for your return
no matter to the time
or space between
for only this
a moment passed
and I am once again
touching you
in worlds
beyond your dream
So touching how the poem portrays love overcoming time, place, and circumstances. Just wondering who the “she” is at the beginning of the poem. Now there are three people involved. 🙂
…..oh we’re going to talk about personalities now, huh? 😀
Wondering is wandering isn’t it? We learn either way. ~D
…There are a lot of people who assume that someone who wanders is lost………..and that’s a bad assumption! Thanks, Dan. ~ B
I assume most assumptions are a bad idea. 😉
Wonderful to reach forward in time to touch someone! Piercing the veil to reach over into that parallel universe, it would seem! Wonderful!
Dearest Rose, I think we do that on a regular basis. I have dreams with no real connection to this life and yet they know me there and I know them. I can describe the house with no exception, including the number of steps from front to back, porch to gate, and gate to barn. Whether it’s forward or backward is hardly relevant; what matters is the feeling of love that lives there and the one that I wake with in the morning. You’re an angel. Thanks again, Rose. ~ Love, Bobbie
