thought you knew me
wind and rain –
a year without a summer
as fortune spun
of maple
– silver plum
barns awaited filling
was there
I held you softly
fit me
as I fit you well –
back against the dawn
slow the will
from starting
a spare of winter graces
nightime fell to whispers –
love me more
as garnered
by surrender –
one last golden autumn
as I am come
the ways
of summer storm
. . .

I had to laugh at the last line…, not because it was funny, but as I type this we’re in the midst of a group of severe thunderstorms !!! ~xo~

O, my dear Mary, you best keep yourself out of the rain…….with all that light, you might end up in Kansas. 🙂 Thank you, my friend. ~ Love, Bobbie
Funny thing I left for home care visits in the rain the sun came out it was beautiful. I arrived home later and it is cloudy and storms heading back in to town.
I am sure some day I will end up Kansas…and I look forward to the visit. xoxoxo Namaste, mary
🙂 last Sunday, I commented that it had started raining 27 times……… I took my book outside, and it started. By the time, I had come in and poured a cup of coffee, the sun was out…. Such was the day. I hope you don’t end up in Kansas. If you’re looking for direction, head south. Tennessee would love you dear!!! ~ Always, Bobbie xoxo
XOXOXOX…I must head to China first….
To me, it wasn’t a poem of weather but of longing, believing and understanding that nothing really did FIT. Maybe I’m crazy ~ always a privilege !
