as far
from my memory –
a you I don’t know
is willed into life
by the lure of a flame
wrapped in illusion
of a touch long ago –
moments
no longer the same
as a partial
remembrance –
of lives passed away
love we were hoping to keep
one more day –
folded as pages
to yesterday’s dream
margins
surely to fade
saving for none
the promise of more
than a once
curs’ed vapor –
left burning before
in the recess of always
where names
have been lost –
a time
before taking
of breath
we forgot
. . .

You write so effortlessly, and yet so beautiful always! The depth of your words move one to ponder every single word that is delivered! Your poems are always a delight to embrace and read, for there is always another more exciting and revealing than the last! And yet the whole of your soulfulness is always a beautiful treasure! Your words will be ever timeless in years to come! Great poem Bobbie!
O, Wendell………..you have no idea just how precious your words are to me……..always, you know the voice of my soul. Thank you, my sweet friend. ~ Love, Bobbie
