now and then
a moment glows
flush against the sun –
burning through the places
once you lived
blazing through your windows
ashes raining down
setting sheets to fire –
a fan to flames
now and then
another birth
and I’m restored to love
within a choice
would will the past undone
fragile as the curtains raised
sweet upon the day
scattering my sins
into the night
now and then
forgotten here
the taste of other names
tho sometimes
I’m assured
they linger still –
a voice beneath my silent tongue
singing me to flight
times before
returning –
every now
and then
. . .

So much returns and revisits us “every now and then”…~always~ Paul
