deliverance

sometimes
my hopes are scattered
til I can’t find the ends
of where I was –
and where I’ll come
again

forsaken
by my wilderness –
delivered by the day
hands to wrap
in secrets
from the night

miracle of waking up
awash in certain grace –
count of blessings
one –
ten thousand more

gather now my wishes
and spill them to the stars –
tho beg me not to watch
unless they fall

to places
unremembered
by the moment to my soul
such fragile few –
I know them all
by name

morning rears
her shiny crown
as dewdrops to the lawn –
longing waits my bliss
before the sun
