where the evening falls
eternal –
to the land
of yellow birds
songs are drifting back to me
as melodies unheard
as flowers
strained to blooming
where the snow is piling high –
will I remember this forever
a star within my night
will ashes
be blown over –
to the shores where I belong
as ripples to the river –
where your love is known
of seasons
barely noticed –
as locust passing by
petals painted roses
to the sheets –
a lullabye
as ribbons
from my weaving
left to signs along the way
as proof of love’s surrender
come whatever
come what may
souvenirs of red and gold
ancient purple strands –
as choice to be
so willingly –
and want to understand
the path resolved
to go alone –
beneath the lowly pines
shall free for me the traces
of another time
when love was new
the creek was rising
swift beneath my skin –
and all night long
was not enough
to live
. . .
“and all night long was not enough to live”.
Sometimes I wonder how long is long enough. I feel sometimes like I have lived so many other times/lives in this lifetime. There’s a peace and harmony in this one, Bobbie, that I really like.

Ahhh, but there’s the rub. How long is enough? Now. That’s the answer because it’s all there is…..this moment…….this eternal moment. And time we spend (although I’ve spent my share so don’t get me wrong) thinking on what would be enough is a waste fo this we have. So live…….live like you were dying. That’s always the answer. Happy Thanksgiving, dear Paul. ~ Love, Bobbie
Your words provide such a harmonious bliss to start one’s day…making them to smile happily…such a beautiful serenade! Much love to you Bobbie!
Thank you, my dearest Wendell. I can think of no place better for my words to live, than in your morning’s heart. Happy Thanksgiving with love, Bobbie
O’ Bobbie your closure has made William Blake knock my mind
“Hold infinity in the palms of your hand and eternity in an hour
To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower”..
Love & Light
😉 Indeed, that is exactly where it lives, my precious Mira. Thank you so much. I’m thrilled that you’re back……..as I’ve missed you terribly. ~ Love, Bobbie
