rob the cradle
now to sound
of lullabies unspoken
forgiven to the dusk –
I know your light
slipped as felt
beneath the sheets
truth I should have noted
was pressed into my pillow
by release
guard these long
forsaken dreams –
kisses without memory
of where we’ll be tomorrow
split apart
darn my socks
and stir my soup –
bring my coffee morning
and I shall write a poem
to your face
slowly
with the ink of trust
pages to consider
as shadows falling backward
to the dark
I wonder if any time can ransom innocence & trust kidnapped:(
Peace & Light
I’m not sure. Maybe that falls into the category of hypnosis and brainwashing…….but I’m sure there are some who would say that we wanted our trust to be betrayed………. They’ll be the ones we comfort most when they grieve our passing through. 🙂 Love you, Mira. ~ Always, Bobbie
Sometimes maybe we jumped into something too fast, and expected more than what was there maybe the golden dream was never there but fool’s gold. Love would never takes its love from you if you are the one they adore. I think all have realized things like that to happen. It makes you think as you embrace moments of peace that escape one in the darkness of night. Your poems always touch me so deeply and i walk with the words and feel their deepness. I am always made better by the light of your words!
