before I was a dream
of yours ~
was given breath to stay
in places
you’ve forgotten
to remember
before the light
I fell into ~
was stirred within your soul
as not much more
than thought
without a name
before the psalm
repeated ~
or as the last amen
a moment there
unguarded
(did you know)
before the sleep
of angels pressed
to claim these years
of dust ~
might heaven hold a truth
you understand
before the rise
beyond the set ~
another dawn awaits
tho melted
as these colors of goodbye
before this end
another starts ~
as love to know again
made dearer
for the lives
we can’t recall
This was a good way to end my day. I like this, Bobbie. It has a peaceful, calm flow and a gentle soothing touch to it. Good night, Lady Wordsmith.

Thank you, dear Paul. I’m glad this found you at a good place. ~ Love, Bobbie
very beautiful, inspired….love, Linda
Thank you, Linda. Although I never question, I’m often mesmerized by how and when words find me. I know you know what I mean. ~ All my love, Bobbie
Always amazing with each poem’s captivating beauty! It like an invisible hand always leading me on as i taste of every word’s essence…I am always lifted and always touched deeply within! Thanks my sister!
…….as your gracious love always lifts and touches me, Wendell. Thank you. ~ Love, Bobbie
I read this poem again after, of ~em. and it is to my spirit very similar, as you weave timless moments with ageless love, that has span lifetimes. My uncle told me i was special with what i always saw and felt from the spirits.in the other plains of life! Old souls…right!
I think your uncle is right, Wendell. Regardless one’s beliefs about the hereafter, it is in the between places we linger. Love could never be limited to a lifetime (the evidence abounds), nor should life. Surely our soul is eternal. I know where I will go as a final ‘welcome home’. Yet in the lives between, I will always be found where there is love, reaching across eternities as my heart (and soul) will carry. I’ll see you there (I’m sure). ~ Love, Bobbie
