knew me once before
you did –
though different now
of other places
I can’t say
what became of roads
took us far from then –
into the lives we live today
some might scoff
I have no evidence at all –
is that faith
(denied the proof)
nights I listen
to the wind
against the chimes –
plays a song I sang
for you
more than this –
another season just as sweet
distant paths we walked along –
laughter ringing
into echoes of today
familiar love
as I’ve become
words rewritten
did I write them once before
left to leaves –
their purpose bare
fall anew upon the place
I walk the same
souvenirs of me somewhere
quiet smile
in the middle of my days
words pretend they didn’t know
where I’d be
and what you meant to me
or when –
came the truth
with none to show
fingers trace the curve
of essence given ink –
another presence called to mind
love before I knew
of love I hold apart –
finds another me
this time
“quiet smile
in the middle of my days
words pretend they didn’t know
where I’d be…….”
I loved this…, but the words always know where you are, or if they hide, you always know where to find the best of them.
…. always,
xo

I’m not so sure, Paul. I sometimes think that words wait a long time for us to find them……… xoxo Love you, Me
Bobbie,
I would argue that I could give you the 4 ugliest words in the dictionary and you would make something beautiful from them.
Himself
very beautiful I love it especially; such remembrance, poignant turning in the heart, Takes a key and gently turns it, Love, Linda
O, you’re so right, Linda. I think that words sometimes unlock a secret place within us that we did not know existed. I’m reminded of a song by Trisha Yearwood – ‘the song remembers when’. Words, indeed, remember when. Thank you, sweetie. ~ Much love to you, Bobbie
I find that the closer we embrace that truest love, His we begin to recognize what we have seen long ago in different times and circumstance, for it was sent to us in another, who blessed our world and we recognize the feelings we feel as not being dreams but that which always have been a natural part of our being and imprinted in our DNA that lives and passes from one generation to the next. We are old Souls who have been many places…angels of light who bring a special purpose and meaning to others with our creative hearts. You post is so very meaningful because it lends a certain truth to what we sometimes feel and hear not in dark shadows but in the ghosts of memories pass and dreams yet to come again as beautiful heavenly realities! I loved your post. I really brought a lasting smile to my day…thank you my sister! Much love always to you!
…the soul is eternal, and always it keeps within the memories of love…….. Thank you, Wendell, for making my day especially blessed. My love to you always, Bobbie
