a passing by
the window –
a voice I knew somewhere
when traces of another
moments spent
concede to consequences
and unlike times before
have brought me back
awaiting winter’s chill
returned to love
within this realm of being
the night was gone
before I knew your ways
how is it lives have come
and gone – dreamed
while I was sleeping
I knew you then –
a sweeter evensong
when loved before
was breathing just this easy
the key was lost –
but I had sworn to find
souvenirs of reason come
(am I the only seeker)
stood the night
and waited for the dawn
wherever truth
is waiting –
shall think of you
(the same) and worry not
when dreaming
brings you round
ashes melt
as snow wafts o’er the valley
the river’s up
I smell familiar seas
verses meant for keeping
(I remember)
tis time to turn –
forever waits
for me

Lives come and gone, but memories kept alive in dreams, and love remains evermore.
Absolutely. Otherwise, it isn’t really love, is it? Thank you, Dee. ~ Much love, Bobbie
Such a very wholesome and beautiful poem…thanks Bobbi!
Thank you, Wendell. I’m delighted you found it………. ~ Love, B
Beautiful last three lines, I love it! and also, “verses meant for keeping”…before, you imply that when wise. with Truth, the dreams with no longer affect you- they become just dreams, not sights that cause suffering. Insightful, Love Linda
True, Linda. They become a part of you. They (dreams) should never cause suffering (ever). ~ Love you, Me
