I asked you once to come –
when winter was melted
as petals pushed forward
to remember
the home
I described for you
in the silver convergence
of dreams
I asked you come
to stay beyond
leaving
one more time
to hold me together
through another
letting go
I asked you to come
but now –
recalling
has lessened the reasons
for wanting you here
when spring
is returning
– and the winter
so fond in remembrance
has left me
to go
where once I begged you
to come
. . .
Sacred petals bloom – eyes reflect a jealous moon – waiting for the sun
So, wonderfully penned, My Dear!! Totally captured by your words as they slowly painted the experience and feelings of your poem!! Bellissimo!!

Ahhhhhh!!!!! 🦋
I smile with every word you share! So I thought I would bring a smile to your face and your heart! You are important to me because you are a genuine selfless friend!
Who is a most valuable treasure!
“A Genuine Friend”
There is a love which lives deep within
A genuine one which will never go away
No matter how one might try to release it
In our hearts and minds, we find it stays
Whenever another touches our inner being
While bringing their pleasant peace inside
We find ourselves to become comfortable
As we begin to embrace them in our lives
They may become genuine friends who care
They might become sisters and brothers too
They brighten our lives each time they speak
Changing gray skies to ones of crystal blue
The hearts of these special ones we care for
Are so genuine and selfless in every way
They are in our lives for special reasons
By God, making sunny, cloudy and rainy days
Whether you are a dear sister or brother
Or the truest friend one in life may find
You are a treasure to those who love you
Because of the selfless heart in you they find.
