wonder
steals my breath away
waiting for the sun
was sure to come
– tho still I held
the night
closer than
a midnight prayer
urging me to go
out beyond
the meadow –
into flight
thought
you might have
missed me
when the oldest star
came round –
a warmth of something
feels the same
as love
twilight sweeps
across the lawn
where earlier
the dawn
slept beneath the trees
and dreamed
of us
. . .

I hear the beauty of a soul’s voice, transcending the moments, the hours, ready to take flight. Absolutely love this, Bobbie. Love, Dee
Thank you, Dee. Always, I can counting on you hearing the still silent voice of my heart. Love you always. ~ Bobbie
This felt comfortable and easy…, like the old rockin’ chair on the back porch on a Sunday afternoon. Keep on dreamin’, sweetness. Without our dreams, we die.
It’s a chill, rainy afternoon and evening here. Leaves coming down like snow in a blizzard. In another month the “permacloud” will move in and there’ll be little or no sun til Springtime. You’re not near any of that KY flooding are you??? ~~xo~~

No, but my neighbor was killed on his way back from a horseshow in Kentucky. They’re relatively sure his truck (pulling a trailer) hydro-planed. I didn’t find out until this morning, but knew something was up – all the horses were raising cain yesterday afternoon. We’ve had lots of rain, but nothing to that level………. Just enough to keep the wipers working. Thank you, Paul. ~ Much love, Bobbie
Wow! The words and photo… stupendous! I am always in awe and at loss of words…
Thank you so much, my sweet beautiful friend. You touch me deeply with your kind words. ~ Love, Bobbie
I never thought the sun would wonder if we missed him, too! Faithfully Debbie xo
I am convinced he knows……….just as the moon wonders if our tears are for him. Thank you, Debbie. ~ Always, you are light in my window. ~ Love, Bobbie
Your poem surely reflects that perfectly genuine heart, that shares its beauty so vividly…sorry about your neighbor. One can’t help but think of you as they read each line…your poem is so very blissfully soothing. Spiritual hugs and blessings!
Thank you, Wendell. My neighbor is gone, but the horses remain………reminding us all of his light and his love…….. A life well lived is the man well loved. ~ Bobbie
