rows and rows
the sweet parade
of sage and blue magnolia
– crystal stems
and boxes put away
came for me
saved for me
the story yet for telling
of where the suitor left
his red bouquet
of juniper
and mid july
june bugs now are swarming
as white tailed sails
are swayed against the breeze –
wishes work their way
into places
I’ve forgotten
daisies watch the yard
for refugees
of summer come
repenting
for hurts the winter knew
hands at last
have found the rights of spring
morning rises sleepy
to the garden
here we lay
held beneath the bloom –
remembering
. . .

This is very different for you and very striking indeed – you leave all the right gaps for us to fill in
Thank you, my darling Seb…… I take that as a compliment from one who so rarely leaves us guessing what’s going on (whew)…… 😉 But then again, that’s what I love about you and your writing. ~ Thank you. ~ Always, Me
Snoozin’ ‘neath a summer sun
in a garden in the shade
Dreamin’ ’bout loves shared
And all the plans we made…..
Hello Summertime ! Liked this poem, Bobbie, Made me think of the above lines.

Paul
I love that, Paul. It sounds vaguely like a Beach Boys tune……..or that it could be. 🙂 Thank you. ~ My love, Bobbie
No Beach Boys, Bobbie…, just me dreamin’ of the beach.
That’s a sweet dream, dear Paul…..a sweet one indeed………… xo
