what of ways
I cannot change
a place before is still
what fool to think
the past
is ever done
stirs to life
a chilly night
wakes me up at dawn –
watches from the mirror
in the hall
of all I am
the more I will
be stilled by love endeared
beyond the silken shade
of raven rails
of names
that move my heart to swell
flush my eyes to tear –
memories of life
the river rolls
gentle lines
retracing
across a many mile –
verses once I wrote
and gave away
age returns the seeker
to the place
where truth began –
flush against a baby’s breast
one day
written there
to stories –
every sorrow
every kiss – the future
blooms in petals
of the past
what of ways
I cannot change
a place before is still
what fool to think
the best
is ever gone
. . .
the first verse describe my day….
once again the past is there…waiting for me to undo the repeat and make it an original…
I just received a poem from someone very special to me…titled
“Past Times”
Push back the hands of past times
When once our hearts spoke rhymes
Where words meant their meanings
Expressed in openess with feelings
*******************************
I wonder if it will ever be so open again…..
Beautiful words Bobbie….they made my heart stop a moment to remember in between each line…verse..a memory to be held in love..
a day to remember…
Thank you…for always being you…never waivering to be someone else..
Take Care…

just me
Your words are honest and sincere.
As the old saying goes, “the best is yet to come”. As good as the past has been, there is always that possibility that there is something in the future…
~always~ Paul
Ahhhhhhh, but it is all THE BEST, Paul. Every day, the best sun rises…. Thank you! ~ Love, Bobbie
Sun sets but still rises up brighter & so shall we..
Love & Light
…..always brighter 😉 Thank you, Mira Jay. ~ Always my love is with you. ~ Bobbie
I always thank God for letting me rise again each day to receive the words of so many whose gifts are beyond compare. It is a very true blessing to embrace such inspiring pieces penned by truly special spirits, whose love gives life even in the most dismal of days. Your poem shines brightly, even before the sun rose, with its brightness and it is dull in comparison to the radiance of the words you brought to life Bobbie! I have missed your words, so glad to be in the recovery mode! God bless!
I am so glad to hear you are doing better, Wendell…….. I know that I am not the only one to miss you when you are away. ~ Much love always, Bobbie
