loose the leaf
that has not love
would scorn the bitter ivy
to thrive within
the autumn wind’s distress
take of hands
the soft heart
feathers
round the damaged soul
when mattered once –
the whole of one
to love
bless the wrongs
of suffered right –
wisdom surely come
to claim
the lowly wanderer again
bear the wings
of angels –
to fly our spirits home
forgotten now the leaving
to atone
dry the tears
and heal the hurt –
bloom these gardens new
with flowers
of remembrance to our name –
sprouted from our sorrows
nurtured by our sins
forgiven us the weeds
that right
our stone

What a wonderful, sensitive call to the spirit of love, acceptance, and redemption, Bobbie. You did yourself proud with this one. ~xxoo~ Paul
p.s. Will email soon
Thank you, Paul. I’m glad you like this…….. Received and will write soon, but promise you’ll make time and room for yourself among the adjustments. If you haven’t read Tinkers, I think it would be a real solace to you these days. Much love, Bobbie
Proving again, simple is best when it comes to poems.
Indeed, Seb…….. Unfortunately, there are times when my pen refuses to shut up! 🙂 Thank you, my dear one. ~ Love, Bobbie
