last night
forever dreamed
and I awoke
to ancient fields
less afraid
of dying yet to know
rehearsing lines –
traced me back
the way I meant to go
sewn into my pocket
by ascent
blackbirds
thick
were circling
graces into light
home the heart to roost
amid the flame
long the time
for moving on –
shadows dancing still –
remembering
a bluer smoke
by name
morning brings
another cup
evidence of falling –
from places
not so far
as nothing changed
sleepy eyes
alert for signs
in every leaf – a lesson
left beneath
my window
another dream
awakes

Like this, Bobbie. Can’t give any reasons why…, just like it.
~xo~
Paul
Well, that you like it is a good enough reason for me to. Thank you, dear Paul. ~ Love, Me
This feels very hopeful to me Bobbie ~ inner confidence and strength here — certainly a Divine force nourishing spirit through dreams, nature ~ and the gift inner-wisdom…
Such a talented writer you are.
Flows like beautiful music.
Love to you , RL
Thank you, my dear Robyn. You’re too kind. Your comment on wisdom reminds me of a story related by Clarissa Pinkola Estes (a favorite) in her book “Seeing in the Dark”. It centered around a conversation with her grandmother, whom she (Clarissa) thought very wise. She asked, ‘what is wisdom’, to which her grandmother quite simply replied, ‘it’s what works’. I like that because it implies more than one truth (more than one wisdom). What works for one may not work for another (nor does it need to). I don’t think myself wise, but in some ways (with some things), I know what works. 🙂 Thank you, dear friend. May your evening be blessed. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
OHHHH — I love Clarissa Pinkola Estes ~ have so many of of her works! Of course the giant book “Women Who Run With Wolves” ~ classic – but also have so many of her short stories and audio programs… Her voice is so soothing to me — and she is an amazing cantadora! I am not sue I know the one you speak of but now will look into it — yes you are wise Bobbie ~ and it works 🙂 xo Love to you!
OMG! Her voice is amazing. On the same audio is another story entitled “The Corpse Bride”. I know it sounds like a modern day thriller, but it is an amazing story of compassion and grace. Yes, soothing is the right word. I only recently finished “Untie the Strong Woman”. She is such an inspiration with her delicate (strong) understandings. Thanks again, Robyn. ~ Love, B
I think I hear “The Corpse Bride” ~ believe it’ in her collection I have on tapes somewhere called “Theatre Of The Imagination” ~ gosh have to dig it up (but don’t have cassette player anymore :() Do remember it made an impact on me – can recall being on beach listening to it too! I have so many of her works – now i’m inspired to revisit. Yes – I agree – delicate (strong) understanding – loved her ~ thank you for reminding me ~ xo Robyn
…and thank you for reminding me…..xoxo
When I would dream, so many times it mean’t the opposite of what I beheld within in it, and i found as the sun did rise so did my heart, my soul, and my spirit into such ry ascending moments where a sweet joy found it way with its gentle touch to make my awakening moment, my reality, so much better than the dream! Have a wonderful day Bobbie…you just made mine beautiful with your words!
Thank you so much, Wendell. Although I am sometimes hesitant to admit to the world, at times, I will remember something every single bit as clear as life’s ‘reality’, but even in remembering, I know it from a dream. Places I’ve lived, faces, even cars I’ve owned…….. I’ll see a car and think, “I used to have one of those; wonder where I left it.” My life is blessed by far more than the hours I lie awake. Love to you, my dearest heart. ~ Bobbie
