if e’er a night
so dark as this ~
and there beyond the window
a single star
stands loyal to the deep
remembered not
the ways I came ~
or skies between to wander ~
was given this
forever ~
a promise still
I keep
…
A soothing and lovely poem dear sister! Have a blessed evening!
Thank you, Wendell. For a minute, I thought about not posting this as it seemed ‘missing’ something. I’m glad I changed my mind, and glad you found it. ~ My love, Bobbie

True, although I would hope that most are promise keepers in ways we may not understand. Someone may swear to be true forever, and our perception of what that means is different than what is possible….but the words are no less real, no less true. For true love remains with us, even when we wish it wouldn’t……. Dontchathink? 😀
Love you, Maryrose. ~ Bobbie
very beautiful!
Thank you so much, Linda. Your kindness is truly appreciated. ~ Love, Bobbie
A “star that stands loyal to the deep” indeed shatters the darkness with its light. Beautiful, Bobbie.
O, Dee……..I see you know the star I speak of! Thank you, my breautiful friend. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
that was very lovely
Thank you. It was a bit shorter than most of my posts, but it felt right…..and was most definitely a moment inspired. Thank you, Desiray. ~ Much love, Bobbie
“The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep. ”
(I think that was Robert Frost) Always loved that poem. What you wrote reminded me of it…., and promises that we all keep within our hearts.
With love,
Paul
…and with our breath……. xoxo, Bobbie
