gone the way of
mortal sorrow –
sunlight where the worry stood
places gone
but for us never
will the past
be passed for good
the same of truth –
she keeps no pages
scribbled down
each date and time
love becoming all eternal
more than man –
this sweet design
somewhere now
the best is waited –
on crystal seas
with emerald shores
oceans rise above the leaving –
remembered not
to lives before
lines to cross
with rhyme and reason
someone holds us ever close –
grieves the stillness
born of shadow
when nights are long –
the ground so cold
Beautiful expression of thoughts on loss, Bobbie.
Came at a good time too. Close friend lost his wife yesterday after a long battle with cancer, a brave, beautiful woman, strong right to the end. With your permission, I’d like to forward this to Ed. i think he would like it and it might be of some comfort right about now.
…. always ~xo~
Paul
Please do, and give Ed my promise that there will be another spring…… Thanks, Paul. ~ Love, Bobbie
A exquisite poem…so very soothing and serene…it brings a certain peace to me. Thanks for sharing such a pearl!
Thank you, my dear Wendell. I am glad this brought you moments of peace. I could ask for nothing more. ~ Love, Bobbie
Tight and dense but not cloying or sentimental. A fine line well walked.
…thank you, Seb…….I’ve often had a problem with that very line! ~ Much best, Bobbie
my soul reads happy…I love this prose………exquisite!
Thank you, Linda……. I’m so glad you saw into the heart of this one. I’m not the least surprised. My love to you, Bobbie
Love is, and was, and is becoming all eternal, transcending transient earthly sorrows. This poem is the soothing balm to ephemeral pain felt in time measured in seconds, minutes and hours. Beautiful as always, Bobbie. Love, Dee
Thank you, Dee. Such are the reminders that love needs not a reason or season, but merely is. It’s not a because; it’s a no matter what. ~ Love you, Bobbie
