meet me
where the sunrise
burns dreams
into the waking –
yellow as the roses
yesterday
were begged forgiveness
fell apart –
as petals on the counter
before the words were gone
and truth betrayed
meet me
where the waters roll
backwards to the glaciers
as cold to polish black
the river rocks
dream
and tell me
where I was
before you found me waiting
still within the first to rise
breath undone
by light
save for me
the final dance
though I am not a dancer
practiced more to verse
than e’er to sway
of arms around me
reaching
to keep my heart aloft –
hands to hold
as wishes tucked away
a picture postcard
kept in place
by something more becoming
for years I will remember you
this way
constellations shining
in the light behind your eyes
evermore resounding
in words we couldn’t say
The dance is yours for this practiced verse. Really liked the melody and rythm in this…, It’s like a song that plays again and again in the background of my mind. Really nice…

Thank you, Paul. This one has been coming together for a couple of days and finally it all worked out…….. Thank you so much. ~ Love, Bobbie
I can picture in my mind so vividly the sunrise, “yellow as the roses of yesterday”, and the smooth black river rocks, polished by the water. I can hear the constellations “evermore resounding”. Lovely, Bobbie!
Dearest Dee, if words have that power, then I am blessed to have touched them (if only for a second). Thank you so much. ~ All my love to you, Bobbie
This is a very Loved verse! I loved it completely! really beautiful!!!!!
O, Linda…..thank you. I should know that when I struggle with verse it will be received with gentleness into your heart. Thank you so much. ~ My love, Bobbie
Your words always beautifully depict what is alive deep within your heart and mind! Life always does taste of happiness and sadness, with any given day one being more prevalent than the other with the new influence it brings to our world. When this happens we will surely be influence in what we write. For we are all full of a treasure chest full of the moments that we can never really turn off…but you blend them all together perfectly to embrace even the image you share with the memory it brings to life…well done always Bobbie!
Thank you, my dearest Wendell. I am always moved by the pieces you unravel from my words…….. You know me well. ~ Love, Bobbie
