beyond this careful tending
to the grace
would keep us whole
another life awakes to strains
assurances bestowed
was more than this
we lived for –
more than this to find
answers fall to questions
never asked
love the only trace
we leave behind
as proof we were
apart from all
the sorrows we endured
fulfilled in moments come for us
our purpose to ensure
for who will come
some other day
and look for us the same
in that which lives
beyond our lives –
to join love’s sweet refrain
in the grandest of cathedrals
the silence of the tomb
in forests
where forever nests
beyond the reach of ruin
no different
for ages passed –
or tongues
the heart to still
one grace shall be remembered
as destiny fulfilled
when coming home
across the tides
ten thousand leagues to stand
on shores we knew
awaited us –
a time to understand
of wisdom now returning
the answer –
why we came
as love in one becoming
a truth we know
by name

This is so achingly beautiful. In the end (or is it just the beginning) – we come home to love.
Both…….and for all the times between, home goes with us…….. Thanks, Dee! Love you! ~ Bobbie
It was. It is. And it will always be. Beyond all of our thoughts and understanding, love endures. This was beautiful, Bobbie, one of your best.
