take this longing
from the wanderer –
the stains of mortal sin
the hammer from the nail
a crown above
seal for me the story
of a hill not faraway
as moments there –
when life was less
than shadows to the day
e’er truth declare deliverance –
this man of destiny
walking
slowly walking –
to a place (we’ll always be)
counseled by our pride
to look away –
to bleed our own
these hands of death
would urge the savior come
remembered not the sin
to set Him free

“In Him I move and have my being…”
Good contemplative thoughts put into words for this day. Blessings to you! xoxo
Thank you, Jeannie. Indeed, there are times when I cannot imagine how God kept from destroying the Earth after what we did to His son. But then, I remember two things – Christ’s destiny was being fulfilled – and God is God and God is love.
Happy Easter! Be blessed.
