today
was almost gone
before I thought of you –
what dream
have you been chasing
all this time
might again
the skies align
with lights much older than
the ways we’ve known –
when leaving us
behind
to wonder
what of days to come
I won’t recall your eyes
or the sweet embrace
of words
the same as mine
. . .
Lovely!
Thank you, dear Hollie. I’m so glad to see you. ❤
lovely one
Thank you, Soumyav. Always, your grace blesses me.
What beauty there is in pain. This is beautiful.
Thank you, Kate. I am so glad you like this, and that you understand that sorrow and bliss share the same plate. ❤
Consolidating.
Thank you, Salva. This came about, in part, due to a discussion about grief. It’s odd that we’re unprepared for that first day without missing, such that when we realize it, we feel guilty (and maybe a little fearful of forgetting). Thank you. ❤
Interesting discussion. In our community we have established a counselling group for such occasions. It is sought after quite well, and the main interesting thing is that people come for so many different reasons for their personal grief. I would have thought that is would be only for the gravest cases like the loss of kin, but the strange thing seems that also grief seems to be something to be learned again.
I think the technicality of our time, plus the dieback of social interaction especially between different generations, is the main reason for unlearning particulary in teh filed of emotions. Very sad, indeed.
I agree, Salva. Technology has provided us a buffer from those things we don’t wish to deal with – those we don’t wish to feel. I’m relatively certain that feeling nothing is not preferred over feeling loss. ❤
You may not recall my eyes…, but I’ll always recall your words.
~xo~
You are far too kind, dear man……… Thank you. ❤
Your words are always pleasing to embrace…another gem Bobbie!
