of truth
the soul remembers
as falling
tears became
a promise made
– what more the light
might bring
settled down
these wantings –
of cedar planks
and pine
songs are writ
to circles –
angels sing
back into
the starting
and who would blame
our grief
for seasons
thrice denied
the taking in
winter pulls
the shadowed moon
with longing
for the first –
willing only this –
to love again

“winter pulls
the shadowed moon
with longing
for the first –
willing only this –
to love again”
I am listening to Micheal Bolton’s “a time of letting go”
then…it’s not goodbye from the movie Sweet November…
today reality whispered….Winter is coming, after the stillness of time, and what will the Spring bring…
what a powerful energy within your thoughts today Bobbie….
love this….and you….
Take Care…You Matter…

Never let go, Maryrose. Find a way for keeping…….for always, the heart is larger than we know. Love is more than our understanding to store. Let go of the ache, the missing, but hold fast to the love……….(as love holds fast to us) ~ Ever, my beautiful friend. I love you. ~ Bobbie
I was pulled to that last stanza too. There seems some type of energy in it that hints toward binding the past and the future, as the passing of the seasons, Spring thru Winter becoming Spring again, like the passing of years in our lives. I know that’s probably not what you were thinking when you wrote it, but…
~~xo Sweetness~~
You are right on the money, dearest Paul……….. Love always, Me
A beautiful song of sweet longing and want! Your words paint such a lovely picture of coming expectations…but love will never be far from you, as there are many who will always praise each new delivery. Have a beautiful weekend beloved sister! And smile, for the world is yours!
Thank you, Wendell. My the pull of an early Fall nestle close to your heart. ~ Always love, Me
Very good poem, and written well too.
Thank you so much, dear friend. Your words are humbling. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
