The Final Inspection
It’s the Marine, Sailor, Soldier and Airmen not the reporter
Who has given us the Freedom of the Press.
It’s the Marine, Sailor, Soldier and Airmen not the poet,
Who has given us the Freedom of Speech.
It’s the Marine, Sailor, Soldier and Airmen not the politicians
That ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness..
It’s the Marine, Sailor, Soldier and Airmen who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag.

When a friend sent me these pictures and the above “The Final Inspection”,
I knew I would share it, even if it took up all the space I had
such that I could never speak again.
Regardless our views, it can never be thought that the best of life
does not come without a cost. I am thankful to those willing to
pay. For some, it is the choice to believe in something
better than self – more than one man or one
voice can keep.
Some stories should be told; some tell themselves.

before the last sun
winks into the memory of the sea
will tides return me home
into your arms
What a wonderful tribute to unconditional love! It is beautiful and moving. Namaste, mary
Thank you, my sweet beautiful Mary…….. Much love ever, Bobbie
What courage…, and what a love !!! God bless you both.
Paul
Thanks, Paul. You know, I received this pictures without much of the story but did a search on Tyler Morris on the internet. It was there I found the rest of the story (the words behind the pictures)………. As for the pictures, I was sobbing uncontrollably by the time I finished scrolling through them……… Some things have every right to take our breath away. Thank you. ~ Much love, Bobbie
I don’t know his physical pain…, but those who have seen the face of war know the frustration and pain he feels in his mind and heart. The sacrifice made by so many young men like him too often goes unrewarded, and unnoticed by a world that is too busy to observe and care. Sights like this bring unashamed tears to my eyes too, Bobbie. ~love ‘n’ a hug~

Breaks mine still, Robyn……… Some stories need only a place to be………such is love. Thank you, my friend. ~ Ever, Bobbie

Dearest Wendell, I thought of you even as I was posting this, knowing it would touch you in the same way that it did me……….deeply and sweetly……. Thank you, my friend. ~ Love, Bobbie
It’s hard to know what to say, Bobbie. What a crazy mess of a world, but what an extraordinary couple. What an extraordinary man.
James.
Yes……and sometimes, we need only remember that we own one another……..and that quite often, words have no place…… Thank you, James. ~ Love, Bobbie
