more than one
of all we’ve known
lands beyond our fathers
touched as one
the sands beneath
the sea
remember –
I remember
the beauty of becoming
something more
for love you came
to free
of worlds remain
forbidden
by the way
you turn your head
swirling in your silver
let me be
flickers float
behind these lids
reminders
all the same
of places I am still –
remember me
. . .

I love the line…. The beauty of becoming
Thank you so very much, my friend. I like that line as well. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
thsi is really good!
Thank you, my sweet Deana. I’m so very glad you liked it, and that you found it first………. Love to you, Bobbie
Another beautiful song, Bobbie. Would that I had the talent to to set it to music.
…remembering ~ always ~ Paul
….and yet you do for it is a melody I know your heart knows well. Thank you, Paul. ~ Love ever, Bobbie
Dear Bobbie… of course you know that this poem appeals to my sensibility. Often your work alludes to mystical love but can often be read as romantic love… so this really caught my eye. It’s a subject that is difficult to deliver to an audience since, in our zest to understand, we attempt to limit something limitless. It seems to me that the surest approach is to describe our relationship to the sublime instead of the sublime itself, which you have done. I so much enjoy it when your soul truly sings as it has today. 🙂 James.
…….O yes, James. And you just appealed to mine by understanding that which needs no real understanding. In our attempts to define God, grace, love ~ we make them less for they are larger than our ability to comprehend and certainly much larger than our ability to confine by word. Love isn’t what we do; it’s who we are. Can I describe a sunset? Surely. Can I paint one? Well, someone can but not me. 🙂 But both would limit the reality. Let us love, simply and completely without regard to where the lines are we drew in our haste to define. ~ Thank you…….. ~ All my love (simply wholy) to you ~ Bobbie
breathtaking, with an almost palpable loveliness. Love, Dee
The lines of your poem, each embrace and subdue a spirit into submission, so much that one cannot turn away or stop reading until they have deeply touched of their energy and life! Your words dance with a pleasurable happiness which finds a place to stay so alive until your next poem arrives. Always wonderfully and masterfully done! Always a joy to read…your poems!
