sweet resurrection
of once sacred light
splinters
the length
of my breath
rolls off the roof
of yesterday’s barn
swept as my prayers
o’er the dew
purple and pale
yellowing truths
none yet
have known how to write
of shadowings chased
til their brilliance
grew still
and day
spoke of night
thru her tears

Beautifully lyrical… it appears to be a poem of joy, abandon and liberation, with a dash of regret. Does this ring true? I especially like the last few lines… it feels like you’re dancing!
🙂 What a beautiful analogy of living, loving. It is all of those at times (and I suppose none at others). I like the last lines too, James…….and yes, it was just like that. Thank you, my beautiful friend. ~ Love, Bobbie
swift and breath-taking…this was beautiful, Bobbie.
Nessa, I’m so glad you like this. It was partly inspired by some of the emotions I sense in your recent posts……. Personally, I love the river. It goes and we go. We can swim or fish, but we don’t change the course of the water…….we can only dance. ~ Thank you. ~ Love always, Bobbie
very nice as usual. I thought I’d share this with you, thought it would appeal to you
once again great work!
take care
Nathan
O yes, Nathan. You’re so right. I LOVE THIS………. From the start, I could ‘feel’ it in my veins (the same as I often do with the wind or the water)……the beat matching mine. I truly love this. It is far more than beautiful, but that’s only word I feel comes close. Thank you for your kindness and for this precious gift. ~ Love, Bobbie
Thank you friend, that means the world to me, it makes all the difference in the world when someone brings my music into their heart. I thought I’d share these with you as well
The Cosmology suite is off my EP that came out in december last year. I was fixiated with space and the cosmos when I was young, and always wanted to be an astronaut, so I guess that’s where the inspiration came from. That and I always wanted to skateboard on the rings of Saturn 🙂 Cosmology is a different taste to tranquility, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy your words
Thank you for being a true human being
Take care
Nathan
Do I detect a wee bit of happy skipping between the lines here??? ~always~ Paul
…….or spinning………. 🙂 Maybe a little bouncing but I gotta be careful with that. As my nephew would say, that makes me ‘roller coaster sick’. 😀 Thank you, Paul (papa) ~ Love, Bobbie
Such breathtaking happiness is quietly alive in your words…and what a joy to find their secret lair, that we might share in the happiness toghether. You weave such wonderful poems my sister…so meaningful, so real, such perfect heartfelt gems!
….and that you find them, Wendell…….that is the joy for me, the bliss of writing is waiting to see who recognizes the words……. Thank you. ~ Much always, Bobbie
